On Saturday morning at 11:00 the 5th and final round of the Grand Prix for Children & Youth takes place at Tórsbreyt in Tórshavn, organised by Hvirlan. There is a mistake in the rules for boys and girls 12-13, which say that they are to do the long jump. As mentioned, this is a mistake, because the plan has always been for them to do the high jump. The full list of events on the final day is therefore as follows:
- Boys and girls 8-9 years: 600 m, ball throw and long jump
- Boys and girls 10-11 years: 600 m, ball throw and long jump
- Boys and girls 12-13 years: 60 m hurdles, 1 000 m, high jump
- Boys and girls 14-15 years: 100 m hurdles and 1 500 m
- Boys and girls 16-17 years: 100 m hurdles and 1 500 m
- Boys and girls 18-19 years: 100/110 m hurdles and 1 500 m
- Men and women 20+ years: 100/110 m hurdles and 1 500 m
The entry deadline has been extended to Tuesday evening at 23:00. Registration will then close, and there will be no entries after that!
Medals will be awarded to the top three in each age group in sprint, middle distance, throws and jumps. There are three competitions in each discipline, and the best two count.
Some competitions have already been decided. The overall standings will be compiled in the next few days and published.
