Training camp 10–12 February

Machine-translated from Faroese and not yet reviewed. Read the original.

This weekend the talent group’s regular training resumes. We are looking forward to an eventful spring and summer, where one of the main goals for both the elite and talent squads is VU-Spelen in early July.

In brief, the programme for this weekend is as follows:

We meet at 19:00 at the swimming baths in Gundadalur. Most will have been training just beforehand, so there will be relaxing and splashing about in the pools until 20:00. Afterwards we go to Hotel Streym, where we stay both nights. Here we get a light meal before going to bed. Beds with duvets and bed linen, as well as towels, are provided at the hotel.

On Saturday morning we get up for breakfast and then go for a short walk. Then there will be rest and a light snack before we go to Vælvera Fitness at 14:00, where we will do two programmes. They are called Body Combat and Body Attack. Those who plan to do a bit of running can do so either before or after this session.

Dinner is at 18:00. Then we will come up with some kind of group activity later in the evening.

On Sunday morning we train at Tórsbreyt. Afterwards we go to Elsa’s birthday party; she has invited us to her home for a stew. This will be the last item on the programme at this training camp. Some will probably go to the sports hall at Hálsur to watch handball, as three members of the talent squad are playing in a handball cup final on Sunday.

The participants at the camp are:

From Treysti: Marnar Djurhuus, Einar Gregersen, Gunnar Sivertsen and Rebekka Fuglø

From Bragdið: Rúni Seloy, Hans Jacobsen, Regin Joensen, Teitur Bjarnastein, Steingrímur Hallsson, Sára Debesardóttir, Katarina Høj, Karin Holm Simonsen and Daniel Djurhuus Rein.

From Hvirlan: Trygvi Laksafoss, Tórur Mortensen, Marita Káradóttir, Petersen and Tinna Berg Jørgensen.

Coaches attached to the squad are: Heri Ziska, Debes Christiansen, Jógvan Glerfoss, Guttorm Sørensen and Hallur Holm.
