The instructors:
The courses will be led by Heri Ziska and Randi Kúrberg. This is the first time ever that FÍF has held a coaching course with Faroese instructors, and we are absolutely delighted about it. Heri and Randi have been to Sweden on two occasions, where they qualified as instructors for the Swedish coach education programme. It was back when Sølvi Reinert Hansen was chair of FÍF that people began looking into what it was that made athletics so popular in Sweden. And in 2006 the Swedes came here for the first time and held a coaching course. There has been agreement within FÍF to stick with the Swedish coach education programme, and the plan is to run parts of the programme at regular intervals, so that our coaches can obtain a full qualification as youth coaches.
The second half of this course will be on Saturday 31 March. On that day the teaching will be one hour shorter, namely from 9–18.
