The many events at the Faroese Youth Championships (FMU) on Saturday and Sunday also require a lot of officials and helpers. We will do as we have done before, namely let certain clubs take charge of certain events. So Treysti will officiate the long jump and ball throw. Bragdið will officiate the high jump and running/sprint, while Hvirlan will officiate the discus, javelin and shot put.
The clubs will also find their own officials/helpers, and the more of us there are, the easier it will be. For Hvirlan, Birna is coordinating this. Her email is birnaabrahamsen@gmail.com and her phone number is 230428. Officials/helpers for Bragdið can let Jógvan know at jkg@nema.fo, phone 794287. For Treysti, you can let Gutti know at gutti@olivant.fo, phone 230210. There will be breaks in the competition schedule, so all the helpers will have time to enjoy a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Hopefully there will be so many of us that as few people as possible need to help on both days.
More about FMU later in the week.
