Press release from Bragdið:
Bragdið out and about on Culture Night!
Our next night run takes place on Culture Night.
Last year the supermotionists in Bragdið tried organising a night run, and the event was such a success that it is being tried again this year.
The run is not just for Bragdið members, and it is not a race at all. Anyone who fancies experiencing the town in a different way, whether they run or walk, is welcome to join. There are two routes to choose from: the shorter one is 4 km and the longer one is 8 km.
Everyone starts and finishes at the same place, by Lindbergshúsið, where Skyn is based. At the finish there is fruit and water, provided by our main sponsor, Bank Nordik, and Bragdið members are offering tea and coffee with a sweet treat to go with it.
The routes are as follows: From Bank Nordik down the pedestrian street and out onto Tinganes, out to Reyn, past Havnar Kirkja, out along Skálatrøð, out to Álaker, down to Sandágerð, back along J.C. Svabosgøta, Dr. Jacobsensgøta, Tróndargøta, across towards Steinatún and down to Bank Nordik. If 4 km is too short, you can carry on up Bøkjarabrekka, right along R.C. Effersøesgøta, left along Hoyvíksvegur, turn right along the street towards Eysturvøllur, along Stoffalág, across towards Óðinshædd, where Posta is based, over and then along Staravegur. Out onto R.C. Effersøesgøta down to Effo and then along Hoydalsvegur straight down to Bank Nordik.
We in Bragdið look forward to seeing lots of people, well known and less well known, for a different kind of run on Culture Night in Tórshavn.
