When Treysti held an open meet at Svangaskarð yesterday evening, Rebekka Fuglø set her 10th Faroese outdoor record for women. Rebekka has kept up a very high level from the start to the end of this season. It began with a Faroese record over 1,000 metres at Grand Prix 1, and since then hardly a meet has gone by without a record being broken. This year Rebekka became the first Faroese woman under 28 seconds in the 200 m and the first under 44 seconds in the 300 m. She set the 400 m record twice, took two seconds off the 600 m record, and set records twice in the 800 m and twice in the 1,000 m, where she also became the first woman under three minutes. She also took six seconds off her 1,500 m time and is now only one second off the Faroese record. Rebekka also became Faroese champion in the 100 m, and is the Faroese woman with the best electronic time, 13.76 sec. Rebekka’s records in 2013:
200m (27.99) 300m (43.60) 400m (60.99) 400m (60.52) 600m (1:42.2) 800m (2:15.84) 800m (2:15.43) 1,000m (3:02.69) 1,000m (2:57.15) 4x100m (54.40)
