On Saturday 6 September 2014, Frælsi is organising a half marathon race on Vágar. It is a new and exciting route from Gásadalur to Sandavágur. This year marks 10 years since Frælsi was founded, and this race is a way of celebrating the anniversary with the first ever half marathon race on Vágar.
Bib numbers will be handed out in the hall at Giljanes from 09:30. It will also be possible to change there. You can also hand in clothes to collect straight after the race, which finishes at Sandavágur Church. A bus will take runners from Sandavágur to Gásadalur, where the race starts at the school at 11:00. Water will be available along the route every 5 kilometres.
Registration takes place here on the website. Those who register no later than 20 August (today) will get not only a great running experience but also a running shirt. The fee is DKK 275 and must be paid to account 9181 – 1413262. Please include your name and running shirt size.
Runners will compete in the same categories we know from the Winter Series.
Jens R. Weihe will be on home ground, but both he and Johan M. Jacobsen can look forward to a beautiful run.
