Two open competitions will be held on Wednesday evening, one at Svangaskarð and the other on the Tórsbreyt track. Treysti is organising a 5,000 metres race at Svangaskarð, with girls and women at 18:00 and men and boys at 18:30. Registration is on site no later than 10 minutes before the start.
Also on Wednesday, at 17:00 in the afternoon, Hvirlan is organising a 100 metres competition for those born in 2002 or earlier. Registration for this competition will be on site from 16:30 to 16:45.
The competition season is now drawing to a close, and this could be a good opportunity for many to improve their times and perhaps even set an age-group record.
