Greetings and schedule from Jersey 2015

Machine-translated from Faroese and not yet reviewed. Read the original.

The Faroese team has arrived in St. Helier, the capital of Jersey. The team is staying at Bayview Guesthouse, a good one and a half kilometres from the competition venue at FB Fields. The athletes have already been out there several times to train and look at the conditions.

We will compete in 14 different events, and hopes are high for the youngest Island Games squad ever. Unfortunately the team is depleted, as Valborg Heinesen had to withdraw through injury. Nevertheless, this is a strong and competent team, and there are certainly medal chances in several of the 14 events.

There will be much more news here on the website, and also on FÍF’s Facebook page, over the coming days.

Young, excited athletes eager for battle. From left: Rúni Seloy, Bjørk Herup Olsen, Tórur Mortensen, Marna Egholm, Hallur Simonsen, Rebekka Fuglø and Hanus Bergsson. (photo: Guttorm Sørensen)
