As in previous years, the second day began with a very fine parade of athletes and coaches. The chair of FÍF, Hallur Holm, gave a good speech in which he thanked everyone and stressed the great importance of the focused work being done in the clubs. He also thanked Bjørg Svabo, who received well-deserved applause from everyone present, for all the excellent photos she has taken at competitions at Tórsbreyt.
The weather was good for the first few hours, even better than the forecast had promised, but later a few drops of rain fell and it turned somewhat cooler as the final events were being completed. On the whole, though, the weather over the weekend has been good for this year’s Faroese Youth Championships.
FÍF would like to extend a big thank you to all athletes, officials, helpers and spectators for an exceptionally good weekend with many good and exciting competitions and many good results.
