On Saturday at 11:00 the starting gun will sound for the fourth round of the TF Winter Series. Frælsi will be the hosts, and they are holding the race in Sørvágur on the same route as in 2015. On that occasion the race was postponed by 2 hours because of icy roads.
The start is by the church in Sørvágur, and the route goes almost to the mouth of the Gásadalur tunnel to turn, then back the same way. On both the way out and the way back, the route runs above the village of Bøur. The course is just under 12 km. Girls and boys start at the same time but turn at 1.5 km, so their course is 3 km.
The race will be run in these categories:
Girls and boys (b. 2001 – 2005)
Junior women and men (b. 1996 – 2000)
Open category women and men (b. – 2000)
Veterans women and men (b. 1962 – 1971)
Super-veterans women and men (b. – 1961)

Last year the weather was as good as it gets, but because of snow and ice on the road from Sørvágur to the Gásadalur tunnel, the route was changed and the race was run only in the village, four laps of about 3 km. We hope the weather this year allows the race to go ahead as planned.
At the moment the weather forecast looks good, and Frælsi looks forward to welcoming everyone out west.
Meet at the school, where bib numbers will be handed out from 10:00. It is also possible to change and shower at the school. After the race Frælsi will serve soup and coffee.
Registration is online here on the site until 23:00 on Friday evening. You can also register at the school on Saturday morning before 10:45. The fee is DKK 50 for adults and DKK 30 for children.
