Training camps on the schedule

Machine-translated from Faroese and not yet reviewed. Read the original.

As mentioned when we last met, we are now going to hold a few training camps in the run-up to the summer.

On Saturday, Treysti is organising the Silva Run, and it has been customary to hold a training camp in Klaksvík in connection with it. That will also be the case this year. This year, however, we are calling it a middle- and long-distance training camp. Anyone who wants to can take part in these training sessions. A good attitude goes without saying.

Friday 17 March:
17:00 – warm-up
17:15 – circuit training in the badminton hall
17:50 – cool-down jog indoors/outdoors

Saturday morning 18 March:
11:00 – warm-up
11:30 – Silva Run – ages 12-16 run 850 metres
11:45 – Silva Run – ages 17+ run 3.3 km
After the race we will go for a short run of 3-6 km

Saturday 18 March

Sunday 19 March

9:50 – the swimming pool

Meals:
Friday evening 19:30 – dinner
Saturday morning 8:00 – breakfast
Saturday 13:15 – lunch
Saturday 19:00 – dinner
Sunday morning 7:30 – breakfast
Sunday 12:00 – dinner

Bring: A sleeping bag and plenty of running kit. Not that it should be needed. The forecast promises decent weather.

We will have a sleeping-bag cinema on both evenings.

Route 400 leaves the bus station in Tórshavn on Friday at 15:20. Meet at 15:10.
Route 400 departs from Klaksvík at 13:30 and arrives in Tórshavn at 15:00.
Those who are not getting on in Tórshavn can join the bus wherever suits them best.

Let us know on the Facebook page FÍF-landslið 2016-17 if you are coming.

The youth national team shortly before VU-Spelen in 2015. Most of them may well also be taking part in VU-Spelen 2017.

We are currently working on holding a training camp for those aged 15+ on 21-22 April. More about this very soon. There are also plans to hold a training camp for those aged 12-14.
