Yesterday, from midday onwards, the 3rd Betri Grand Prix was held at the Tórsbreyt track, organised by Roysnið and Treysti together with FÍF. Once again there was quite a lot of wind, which again affected the results. On the whole the events ran smoothly, and despite the wind there were still some exciting competitions to watch. For some of our athletes these were the last competitions before the Island Games, which open on Saturday evening in Visby on Gotland.
All the results can be found below, and the final standings in the Betri Grand Prix can also be seen here as a .pdf. Photos by Bjørg Svabo from both the Betri Grand Prix and the medal and trophy presentation can be found in Hvirlan’s photo gallery.
Overall winners from left: Jógvan Gullfoss (12-13), Jógvan í Lon Jacobsen (8-9), Maria Biskopstø (14-15),
Rúni S. Vang (10-11), Andreas B. Antoft (14-15), Brá Zakariasardóttir (10-11), Børka B. Jørgensen (12-13)
and Heiða Jacobsen (8-9)
