The first day of the Faroese Youth Championships produced a great many good results. And in the second-to-last event of the day, we did indeed end up with a Faroese record as well. It came when the young Bragdið girls won the 4×100 m relay. In that race we could even have had two teams under the old Faroese record. Unfortunately, one of Hvirlan’s changeovers went so badly wrong that the chance was lost. The new record time is 53.00 seconds.

There was no time to compile all the results today. We will try to get all the results published here on the site late on Sunday evening.
The competition continues on Sunday from 13:00 to 17:00, starting with a parade at 12:30.
