National team off to Iceland

Machine-translated from Faroese and not yet reviewed. Read the original.

Today our national team left for Iceland. The travelling party includes all the participants from the Island Games, as well as Edna Maria Debes and Margit Weihe Fríðmundsdóttir.

This weekend the Icelandic athletics championship titles are up for grabs, and our national team athletes are taking part as guests. FÍF and FRÍ have worked together in various ways in recent years, and this is also part of the cooperation between the two countries.

The competitions take place on Saturday and Sunday, and we will post reports here on Saturday and Sunday evening.

The squad pictured just before departure. From left: Regin Thomsen, Tórur Mortensen, Rúni Seloy, Hanus Bergsson, Margit Weihe Fríðmundsdóttir, Hallur Simonsen, Edna Maria Debes, Rebekka Fuglø, Hallur Holm and Bjørk Herup Olsen.
