On Saturday at 12:00, the third and final round of the Betri Grand Prix takes place at the Tórsbreyt track. At 18:00 on Saturday evening the medals will be presented out at Skúlaheimið, where we will also hold a small afterparty, as in recent years.
Counting up and adding together all the results from the competitions takes a long time, so rather than spending so much time on this at Tórsbreyt, we would prefer to have an enjoyable get-together with athletes, coaches, parents and siblings once everything is ready.
There are a lot of medals to present. Places 1, 2 and 3 in each birth year in each event group (sprint, middle distance, throws and jumps) receive medals. In addition, trophies will be awarded to those who have scored the most points in total across all event groups in their age group. However, this only applies to the age groups from 8-9 up to 14-15 years.
We will therefore hold this event, with the medal presentation and dinner, out at Skúlaheimið from 18:00.
Dinner will be a youth buffet with all the trimmings. The cost is DKK 50 per person. We will start the evening with the medal presentation, so that those who do not wish to stay for the meal do not need to stay so long.
The standings after the first and second rounds are being compiled now and will be announced on our Facebook page shortly. The standings will also be posted on the noticeboard at Tórsbreyt.
A registration for the Afterparty has been set up on the registration page. One registration per person. Registration closes on Wednesday at 13:00 at the latest.
Remember also to enter the competition itself. The entry deadline is Tuesday evening at 22:00.
